With this city walk, you will literally walk in the footsteps of painter Vincent Van Gogh.
Vincent van Gogh lived in The Hague for several years and started drawing here. Vincent van Gogh was born in 1853. He arrived in The Hague in 1869. In The Hague, Vincent took painting lessons from the famous artist Anton Mauve.
In this special walking tour, we dive into the artistic past of famous Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh. Discover the places where he lived and worked. Did you know that Van Gogh discovered his passion for drawing here?
Not only will we focus on Van Gogh himself, but we will also explore other painting contemporaries, giving you a broader perspective on the artistic climate of the time.
During the walk with our guide, you will hear all about his “Hague” life and the people who modelled for him. You walk through the streets where Van Gogh once walked in the 19th century. And you visit the places he drew and painted in The Hague. He made many cityscapes here.
Walk along, among others, Plaats, Molenstraat, Westeinde, Prinsegracht and Dunne Bierkade.
